A specialist position has arisen on the Science Museum's project team for Making Modern Science, a proposed major permanent exhibition on the history and current practice of science. The gallery will be based around the Science Museum’s world-class collections, spanning from the late 18th century to the present day.

This role is for an individual with a good knowledge of the history of science and, ideally, experience of working with museum objects. A commitment to developing and communicating knowledge of the history of science and its associated material culture using all media – exhibition, publication, web, presentation and broadcast – is essential.

The British Society for the History of Science is pleased to announce a new competition
for public exhibitions that deal with the history of science and/or medicine.

Entries are welcome from institutions in any country and exhibits may be permanent or
temporary. Eligible exhibits must use artefacts or places of some kind and this may include
buildings or locations, pictures, instruments, objects and books. Web-exhibits are
